Huaraz (Quechua word, Waraq or Warash, "dawn"), formerly designated as San Sebastián de Huaraz, is a city in Ancash – Peru. It is the capital city of Ancash Region (State of Ancash) and the seat of government of Huaraz Province. The urban area's population is distributed over the districts of Huaraz and Independencia. The city is in the middle of the Callejon de Huaylas valley and on the right side of the Santa River. The city has an elevation of approximately 3050 meters above sea level. The built-up area covers 8 square kilometers and has a population of 120,000 inhabitants, making it the second largest city in the central Peruvian Andes. It is the 22nd largest city in Peru. Huaraz is the main financial and trade center of the Callejón de Huaylas and the main tourist destination of Ancash region. Moreover, it is one of the biggest towns in the Peruvian Andes. Huaraz is the main destination for winter sports and adventure. Many visitors from around the world come to the city for practicing sports as climbing, hiking, mountain biking and snowboarding, and also to visit the glaciers and mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, mainly Mount Huascaran, which is considered the tallest mountain in the tropics, all of them located in Huascaran National Park, which UNESCO declared a nature world heritage site in 1985 The city was founded before the Inca Empire, when humans settled around the valley of the Santa River and Quillgay Its Spanish occupation occurred in 1574 as a Spanish-indigenous reduction. During the wars for the independence of Peru, the whole city supported the Liberating Army with food and guns, earning the city the title of "Noble and Generous City" granted by Simon Bolivar In 1970, 95% of the city was destroyed by an earthquake that damaged much of Ancash Region. 25,000 people died. The city received much foreign assistance from many countries. For this reason, the city was named a capital of International Friendship. The main economic activities in the city are farming, commerce and tourism. Since Huaraz has tourist infrastructure supporting the Ancash Highlands, the city is the main point of arrival for practitioners of adventure sports and mountaineering. Along with the snowy peaks of the Cordillera Blanca, one can visit archaeological sites like Chavin de Huantar and the eastern highlands of Ancash, known as Conchucos.

Day 1: Leaving For Huaraz

Pick up at your hotel and transfer to the Airport to get your flight to Huaraz City, Arrival in Huaraz and transfer to your hotel, check in and free time at your leisure, Overnight in Huaraz City Hotel.

Day 2: Chavin de Huantar

Breakfast at the hotel, pick up at 09.30 am. we will have a Cultural excursion in the streets of Conchucos: observations of the town of Recuay, Ticapamapa, Catac, the Querococha lagoon, Cahuish tunnel, and we descend until we reach Chavín, we visit the facilities of the archaeological center of Chavín de Huantar, (culture of the Andean civilization), we will appreciate the head of a club, the Chavín lance and a network of underground galleries or labyrinths. Return to Huaraz, Transfer to your hotel, dinner and free evening at your leisure and overnight.

Day 3: Paron Lagoon

Breakfast at the hotel, Pick up at 8.00 m. In the Province of Huaylas, Ancash, is the Parón Lagoon, considered the largest natural reservoir of fresh water in the entire Cordillera Blanca. This lagoon was also declared a World Heritage Site in 1985. We will live an unforgettable experience with the nature of the Huascarán National Park, where we will begin the walk along the trail, to be able to appreciate the beautiful Parón lagoon and the snow-capped mountains: Huandoy, Pisco, Pirámide and Artesón Raju. lunch time, later we will head back to Huaraz City and be dropped off at your hotel, dinner and free evening at your leisure, overnight in Huaraz City Hotel.

Day 4: 69 Lagoon

Breakfast at the hotel, pick up and we will leave from Huaraz heading north passing through some towns such as Carhuas, Marcara, the Huaraz airport, until passing through the Campo Santo de Yungay and then the Llanganuco lagoons 3850msnm., a few minutes from there we will arrive at the Cebollapampa camp (3,950msnm) which is our starting point towards this beautiful lagoon with sky blue waters, it is located at the foot of the Chacraraju snow-capped mountain at an altitude of 4,450msnm. free time for lunch, transfer back to Huaraz, arrival to your hotel, dinner and free time at your leisure. overnight

Day 5: Llanganuco Lagoon

Breakfast at the hotel, pick up and departure at 09.30 am. this full day tour last 09 hours. We will head to the north of the Callejón de Huaylas; we will appreciate part of the Cordillera Blanca and the typical towns of Marcará, Carhuaz (tasting of natural ice cream made from pure fruit), Mancos, El Campo Santo de Yungay, Laguna Llanganuco with a turquoise green color and the Quenuales Forests, Nuevo Yungay, Caraz (tasting of Manjar Blanco and other sweets), Tarica artisan center, return to Huaraz. Lunch time, free time and later hear back to Huaraz and drop off at your hotel, dinner and free time at your leisure, overnight.

Day 6: Half Day Huaraz City Tour

Huaraz is a city in the north-central mountains of Peru, capital of the Department of Ancash and the Province of Huaraz, located at an altitude of 3,080 meters above sea level in the central part of the Callejón de Huaylas. Breakfast at the hotel, pick up and we will begin with a visit to the main square of the city of Huaraz, the museum, the Temple of the Lord of Solitude, the typical street José Olaya, La Piscigranja, and the Monterrey Hot Springs where you will enjoy a delicious swim in the pool or in individual pools. lunch, Transfer to the hotel, free evening at your leisure, dinner and overnight

Day 7: Leaving For Lima City
